MARTIN (b.1984) IS A SITE-SPECIFIC ARTIST WORKING IN: PERFORMANCE, SCULPTURE, INSTALLATION, PHOTOGRAPHY, SOUND, AND VIDEO. HE HAS AMASSED SOLO, TWO-PERSON AND GROUP SHOWS NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY, TAKING HIS PRACTICE ABROAD TO: POLAND, GERMANY, LONDON, EGYPT, NORWAY, ICELAND, SWEDEN AND THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. HIS CURRENT WORK INVESTIGATES THE PHENOMENA OF HUMAN CREATIVITY DRAWING FROM ANCIENT PRACTICES TO MODERN TECHNIQUES TO INSPIRE AND HELP RE-CULTIVATE OUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND EACH OTHER. HIS PRACTICE IS OUT OF BRADDOCK, PA, MONTAUK, & NYC. HE IS CURRENTLY PURSUING SITE-SPECIFIC PROJECTS IN: MONTAUK, MARFA, NEW MEXICO, NEW YORK, SWEDEN AND THE U.S. SOUTHWEST THOUGH THE PANDEMIC HAS DELAYED ENDEAVORS. HIS WORK IS HELD IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE COLLECTIONS. 2018 MARKS HIS START WORKING THE WIND AND HIS RELATIONSHIP TO IT WILL BE PUBLISHED IN 2020.
