WITHIN THE MYSTERY ARE ANSWERS TO THE UNKNOWN
IN THIS SOLO SHOW, TWO VIEWERS ENTERED A PITCH-BLACK GALLERY AND WERE HANDED FLASHLIGHTS TO NAVIGATE THE SUSPENDED 36' SIBERIAN ELM TREE. THROUGH THIS ACT OF NAVIGATION THE VIEWER PLACED WORK ON THE "SACRED" GALLERY WALL.

SITE-SPECIFIC WORK IN MARFA, TEXAS WITH THE CHINATI FOUNDATION DURING CHINATI WEEK. THE 26' MOVING TRUCK WAS APPROPRIATED TO BE A MOBILE GALLERY WITH WHITE WALLS IN THE REAR COMPARTMENT, EXHIBITING WORKS FROM SEVERAL ARTISTS. I THEN COVERED THE TRUCK IN A THIN ENCASEMENT OF LIQUID CLAY USING A FORMULA I HAD DEVELOPED WHICH DEFIES THE UNIVERSAL TENDENCY OF CLAY: TO SHRINK AS IT DRIES.
